A modern board. Safety switches that work.
Adelaide still has a lot of ceramic-fuse boxes and crowded meter panels that were never meant for today’s load. We replace them with a modern enclosure, circuit breakers and RCDs, labelled so you can see what is what.
The job always starts with an inspection: earthing, spare ways, meter arrangement, and whether the supply can take the extra load. If something unusual shows up, we flag it before we book the outage.
You will be without power while the board is swapped. We plan that window with you and leave the new board tested, labelled and explained.

On site
Outdoor boards, inspected properly.
Most Adelaide switchboards live on an exterior wall next to the meter. We start there — not with a generic quote from a photo.
- Inspect the existing enclosure, circuits and earthing before we price the swap.
- Flag unusual meter or supply arrangements before install day.
- Plan a realistic outage window with you.

The upgrade
Old fuses out. A board you can grow on.
The enclosure comes off. A new board, breakers and safety switches go in. Circuits are landed clean and labelled.
- Ceramic fuses and tired boards replaced with modern breakers and RCDs.
- Spare ways left for the next job — charger, AC, kitchen reno.
- Everything tested before we restore supply.

Why upgrade
A buzzing board is not a personality trait.
Rewireable fuses do not cut out as fast as RCDs. Warm, discoloured or noisy boards are a fire risk.
- Shock protection is the point of safety switches — fuses are slower.
- EV chargers and ducted AC often need spare capacity a fuse box does not have.
- You get a walkthrough of what trips what, and when to call us.
